First off, I think we call agree that dating at this age is...different. It's beginning to get a little stale. All of my friends are married and I don't do the bar/club scene and I'm not looking for random hookups. The most social place I go to is the grocery store so if you see me in the grocery store say hi! So, sites like this one fill the niche for people like me and you. It sort of works and can't be all bad, right? Maybe...
Anyway, with that said, let me introduce myself...
I'm an honest, fun loving, hard working guy. I'm well traveled and I'm educated, but I'm still a country boy at heart. I love to laugh and make people laugh and I have a very playful sense of humor. I'm very outgoing and I'm not pushy, rude, judgemental or controlling. I can get dirty, but I clean up pretty well and I can hold my own in a formal setting, but I'd rather be near a campfire or the water or a beach or someplace not formal! I love going out and I definitely like live music (I even make a little on occasion). When I go out to eat I don't want to go to some chain place. I travel a lot with my work and, honestly, the big chain places just don't do it for me. I want it to be off the beaten path and interesting. I also love being in the kitchen and cooking with someone or grilling...I do a lot of grilling (when it's not 20 degrees).
I love kids and if you have kids I'm ok with that. I've got a couple of my own, but I'm not interested in having any more children. Mine are almost grown and I'm ready to enjoy a little more freedom once they are out of the house. I've been kidding people that once my last one is out of the house I'm going to sell out and move to Belize and live on a boat! But I'm just kidding about that...mostly, I'm pretty sure, I think...
I take care of myself and I enjoy running, working out, backpacking, canoeing/kayaking, camping and all kinds of other things. I just like to be out somewhere living. I'm looking for someone who's like me, closer to my age who loves life, is upbeat and positive and knows how to let their hair down and enjoy themselves. I like people who take care of themselves, but you don't have to be an olympic athlete, either. Just somebody with an adventurous spirit.
