I don’t want to give too much away and I have to admit I'm more comfortable face-to-face with people but here is a bit about me to (hopefully) peak your interest... I was born in Texas, went to Pennsylvania for High School, the Northwest for College, and got a job out here in NY about a year ago. Neither of my parents were in the military, I just enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people. I have found that everyone has a story and life is all about perspective. I didn't do much outdoor stuff as a kid but really found a passion for camping and backpacking in the Northwest. Sports (however) have always been in my life, but I'd have to admit that's about where the "typical guy" things about me end. I played the usual soccer, football, basketball, and even rugby, but my favorite sport would have to be Judo which I competed in for about 15 years and even helped coach in college. I know what you're doing right now though... oh great, another jock. Really, I'm not. I do enjoy sports but it just comes down to the fact that I can enjoy pretty much anything. I’d be just as inclined to throw on some cleats and hit the grass as I would to suit up and go wine tasting or see a symphony.
As far as dating goes, I like women who are confident, kind, and fun-loving. I was raised to treat women right and look for women who expect to be treated well. Granted most women don't look for the contrary BUT they don't usually expect it either. I like someone who can just as easily throw on something to go for a hike as she enjoys dressing up to go out. My ideal match would be comfortable with the random, unplanned road trip, but also driven and knows what she wants out of life… does that sound like you?
