HI!
I am from Tampa, born and raised, only living in Gainesville for 5 years while I attended the University of Florida. Go Gators!!
While in college, I dabbled in a few majors, not really certain which direction was right for me. Finally, I chose Education and stuck with it all the way through to my Masters.
I am proud to say that I’m an elementary school teacher here in Tampa. At times the job can be overwhelming and unrewarding, but at the end of the day, I know I have done something good, which seems to make up for the drawbacks.
My family and friends are extremely important to me. I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such intelligent, hilarious, beautiful, and caring people. I love being with the people I love and talking around the dinner table for hours. (I come from an Italian background, so the dinner table is usually the prime spot for all things)
About two years ago I rescued a puppy from a kill shelter. She was supposed to be this hulking, giant Labrador, and instead, she’s a dainty, adorable thirty pound mix of probably 9 million breeds. She is a complete sweetheart and loves people, kids, dogs, air, food, grass, lizards…pretty much anything. Hates water, though. Hates it.
I love being active, whether that involves going kayaking, high-fiving, or just blinking my eyes. I try and maintain a pretty healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise, though every now and then I’ll engage in a little junk food and “couching”. It’s good for the soul, I think.
I believe that humor and laughter is the cornerstone for a happy life. I love to laugh, I love making others laugh, and I always try to see the humor in everything. I think that if two people can make each other laugh to tears, they’ve got something.
I don’t believe in taking yourself or life too seriously, but in the same breath, I believe in having a strong work ethic and maintaining long-term goals.
.
I am hoping to attract the type of man who is funny, kind, easy-going, and ready for anything; a man who is loyal and finds happiness in not only the grand things in life, but also the simple things. I find myself being attracted to men who have a quiet confidence and don't feel the need to be boastful.
I am looking for a best friend; someone who can open the lids on my pickle jars and someone who'll find the fun in a ridiculously lazy Sunday.
I look forward to meeting you!
