I would have preferred we met at the grocery store while we were both standing next to the apples, but neither of us are spending enough time grocery shopping to make that happen. So this will have to do. It's not suuuuper ideal, but I'd rather meet someone awesome on this internet device than settle for whoever happens to be standing by the apples.
After living in Boston for 7 years, I recently moved to LA for my work. I spend a lot of time wandering around the city, eating at places that look interesting, taking short vacations, and wasting huge amounts of time ruining my meals by trying to cook way above my skill level. My day job is writing music for films (and tv, commercials, and other various forms of entertainment), but I like to spend my nights and weekends exploring anything that peaks my curiosity. I'm great at never being bored. I develop new interests easily and I'm fascinated by many subjects. I love to learn and I could be happy spending my time doing nearly anything, going almost anywhere, and talking to practically anyone.
Things I'd like to be awesome at: sailing, first aid, building a house, following recipes, programming artificial intelligence, climbing (mountains...or trees...), navigating the Paris subway system, finding more opportunities to do meaningful work abroad while satisfying my selfish urge to travel.
Things I'm already pretty good at: cooking, music, sustaining interesting conversations, cleaning up after myself, fitting in with a wide variety of people, public speaking, traveling light, empathizing, managing resources (money, time, etc), playing devil's advocate, doing thoughtful gestures, and being genuinely content while still constantly working towards higher achievements.
I like to think of myself as an ambitious but relaxed person. I have huge career goals, but I also believe there are more important things in life than my career. I'm always thinking about the next fun thing to do, planning my next vacation, and scheming about how I'm going to achieve my next goal. I'd love to go on a date with someone who is also passionate about their career, but eager to have a balanced life of spontaneous adventure.
