After a series of false starts and fumbled edits I think I have this down...
First of all, I am the father of four grown children (2 boys/2 girls)--all wonderful, kind, sensitive, intelligent people--and yes, I am very proud of them (I guess I should be saying 2 men/2 women,eh?).
I am a sincere, gentleman who respects the dignity of others. I have a deep faith, yet am humble enough to realize I cannot presume to know the answers for all. I tend to appreciate the ironic side of life and have an easygoing sense of humor. I thrive on growth and am always interested in learning more from the incredible variety life has to offer; whether it is trying something new, meeting new people, eating new foods or visiting new places.
I have experienced professional success and failure; having learned the hard lesson that there is a fleeting fine line between the just rewards that come from hard work and diligence and the trials of mere fortune (good or bad). Throughout the ups and downs in my life, the one defining trait is that of resilience; I have maintained and grown in my faith and positive outlook.
I am a type A personality and have a well-developed sense of responsibility for those in my personal and professional life. Over the past several years I have worked hard to learn about myself and am better able to express my love and appreciation for those in my life and have a healthier work:life balance.
I am a sensitive person, supportive and physical (not just sexually, but I enjoy doing things whether it is exercise, going for a walk or working on the apartment/home--I'm a bit of a handyman and find it relaxing). I also truly enjoy the quiet moments of enjoying another's presence without having to entertain or be entertained (do you know what I mean?). I also believe a mature minded woman who is self-aware, confident enough to let her inner child play, open-minded, humble, intelligent and sensitive to needs of others would be a great match for me.
