*edit: My name is Sandy, hence the handle. This isn't an awful tribute to a hurricane.
I'm a city nerd for a living and love being in NYC. I'm open minded but opinionated, professional but a total goofball. With that professionalism comes ambition and drive. I'm looking forward to working hard in 2013 in both my professional and personal life.
Looking for someone who shares some of my interests and can introduce me to new things. I'm a big fan of actually going out and enjoying all the culture/food/neighborhoods this city has to offer and not just sit on the couch (but don't get me wrong, I do really like to sit on the couch and watch tv, I have many favorite shows). I also enjoy Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, The Brian Lehrer Show and Radiolab on NPR.
If you're trying to figure out what I'm like from this poorly written profile, let me paint you a picture. I'm kind of like Liz Lemon on 30 Rock. Not Tina Fey, Liz Lemon. It's sad but her storyline often mirrors my own life. It allows me to laugh at all the ridiculousness that I get myself into.
Also, under "sports and exercise" I wrote what I like to watch AND participate in. I need to do more on the participation side - at this point I'm simply donating to the YMCA each month. Can you motivate me?
A good sense of humor is very important in a guy. I like to think that I'm pretty funny so you'll need to match wit. Also I care greatly about what I do so being passionate about your career or hobby is important as well. Hopefully you're doing something in your life where you help others, that's a plus - please be kind. I'm looking for a gentleman - apparently they're hard to find. That doesn't mean you have to pay or pull out a chair, it simply means be prompt, present and polite. (You'd be surprised how easy it is to impress us).
I'm Jewish and and very inspired by religion. I don't do as much Jewish stuff as I'd like but I'm hoping to change that in the future. I used to think that I needed to be with someone who's Jewish but that's not a deal breaker anymore, I need to be more open. But if you are Jewish that's good too.
