Since the aliens began to beam my brain with mind control rays, I have been perfecting the perfect aluminum foil brain control raybeam foiling protecting helmet. (Redundancy in my adjectives? Not at all...) I find it amazing that with their advanced alien technology, I am still able to prevail using only common household items.
Call me picky, but I am looking for a one armed, blind circus midget with a heart of gold who is appreciates entomology, speaks Klingon, and drives a polka dotted VW bug with an unlimited clown payload capacity.

I'm originally from Cincinnati, but I don't care what high school you went to as long as it wasn't Elder.
My parents have been married for 39 years, still go on dates, are hopelessly in love etc etc... and that is my standard. I'd love to be in that kind of relationship, but I'm not going to settle just because it hasn't happened. I'll just keep plugging away until it does...or doesn't...or until I find the unique woman with the beauty and class of Audrey Hepburn, the empathy and compassion for the less fortunate of Mother Theresa, and the sense of humor and hot librarian look of Tina Fey.
So speaking of relationships, I had a close friend in high school that was/is a girl. I can distinctly remember not finding her especially attractive, nor did I have any romantic interest in her. However, she was cool, we got along great and we were as tight as, and hung out at least as much as I did with my best friend that was/is a dude. Her name was Aphrodite, and yes, she was Greek, very, very Greek, but like Jesus said, "Blessed are the Greek and the cheesemakers."
I got dumped by my girlfriend right before Homecoming one year, so I asked the Aphrodite to go, knowing that while there may be no romance, at least we'd have fun. When I picked her up, I remember her coming down the stairs and my heart skipped a beat. She hadn't changed a bit, but for some reason, she looked gorgeous. In retrospect, the reason was rather obvious.
Ever since then, while I have respect for the first gut instinctive attraction, because of that relationship, I realize and am open to, the notion that attraction can be immediate, or it can take time. That being said, it's usually obvious in the first five minutes/seconds. Like most "rules", there are exceptions and I allow for that... sometimes too much!
