I'm a pretty easygoing, fun person who loves to meet new people. I enjoy sports, participating watching (esp my Red Sox). Love music: listening, dancing, singing. Looking to share time w/someone special hope it develops into something more. I am socially aware and active w/causes on a global scale (not in the hippie sense). You need to be a gentleman who is sincere, honest, positive and respectful, on top of that someone who enjoys life. I grew up in Boston, LOVE the city, LOVE the ocean, but lived in the Midwest for a while and fit in anywhere. Kind of a city girl w/Midwest values - comfortable in shorts, flip flops, a ball cap as well as dressing for red carpet events (fortunate to not "have" to wear a lot of makeup). I am kind, generous, compassionate genuinely love people and believe everyone has a story to share.
In the past I was on the road often for my job, traveled all over the country - saying this, I have had and am open to, long distance relationships. Ideally my match would live close by but I'm aware he may not be my neighbor ;) Since I moved to San Diego in JUNE 2012 I would prefer to meet someone in this area. I have 2 adult children that rock! Their dad and I have co-raised them (along w/their stepmom) to be wonderfully talented, smart young adults. My son is a junior in college, my daughter started college in Aug. I am now an empty nester. It's all a new chapter for this young 43 year old! I'm now CALeslieDDS found on gmail's wonderful site
I am not looking for someone to take care of me nor someone to take care of - I am looking to share my time w/someone I consider my best friend; someone I can be goofy with, serious with. He must be a gentleman above all else, enjoys life and all its challenges. Someone who sees the positive in things, is willing to experience and LIVE life! I'd like to meet someone who is intelligent, adventurous, has a good sense of humor, is outgoing, loves to travel, lives an active lifestyle. While I absolutely LOVE children (would be a fantastic step-mom) I am not open to having any more of my own and think that my ideal partner is one who is also an empty-nester (a very young one at heart mind you) or someone who is able to strike a balance between time at home w/the kids and off exploring the world.
What I'm attracted to: tall guys (since I love to wear 3-4" heels), dark hair, a great smile (A MUST), outgoing, easygoing personality, the "good guy", definitely a gentleman in every situation, has a great sense of humor, intelligent, LIVES LIFE, POSITIVE outlook, MUST love to travel.
On a side note...guys, profiles are set up to hopefully attract the opposite sex - well not sure how many women are impressed w/the "big fish" photos or the shots of your latest kill. I'm more into the pictures that show your great smile and personality. Profiles are not opportunities to show your artistic eye of landscapes places you've visited either - they should be of YOU. And leave your shirt on - imagination goes a long way. =) PHOTO REQUIRED FOR REPLY so no need to "wink" if no picture. (While I understand some concern for putting your pic out there it's important to remember this is not ") Love when a guy is bold enough to return my wink w/an email. And, while winks are nice, I appreciate a message that actually says something about you, not just "hey"
Most recently (Jan 2012) I participated in an expedition climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa, did mission work w/the schools and an orphanage - a life changing experience!
This is just the surface - definitely a well rounded person worth getting to know.
