I am definitely a free thinking, somewhat liberal secret extrovert. In other words, I can be shy at first but once you get me going, I am quite outgoing. I was a professional artist for many years, and before that I was actually trained to be marriage and family therapist. I have never been married so it appears that degree would seem a little unfitting. I enjoy my free time and prefer to be self-employed. I'll be frank. I like being my own boss. I grew up in La Jolla, CA. It was never a real fit for me. I actually couldn't wait to get out of there. I have lived in London, New York, Boston and Los Angeles. It appears that my youth kept me frequently moving...or running:) Boulder is home for me. I've grown attached to it. It's a bit quiet, but then again who can complain when everything is right out your door. I am truly an animal lover and avid horseback rider. I have two lovely horses (one is retired) and two dogs. I have to say that I have a strange connection to bird dogs ( I have a pointer and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever) even though I don't hunt. My friends and family are really important to me. I love antiquities and I am fascinated by ancient civilizations and cultures. I also appreciate mid-century design and vintage jewelery. As for the arts, I tend to prefer things that are beautiful and subtle, sometimes dark and moody. I believe life is a journey and one that should be enjoyed. I also believe self-love is the the key to life even though it can take a lifetime to achieve. Yes, my profile sounds a bit bland so here's a few basic things about me....just in case your wondering: 1. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but rarely eat them.... 2. My favorite book is Wuthering Heights. 3. I find red heads attractive. 4. I believe anything is possible. 5.I have a thing for attracting broken animals. I'm always going broke trying to fix them. 6. I tend to get more anxious when there isn't anything to get anxious about. 7. I believe the worst prison is the one in your own mind. 8. I'm a napper. 9. I still hate going home for the holidays. 10. Life is like a box of chocolates....You have to eat them ALL to embrace the full experience. As for who or what I am looking for? Hmmmm I suppose a nice guy.... Someone who enjoys good conversation and has nothing to hide. I appreciate those who are honest and not afraid to speak their mind. I do:) Of course this list can go on and on, but I do believe in surprises. I suppose that's one of life's greatest gifts.
