The partner that I am looking for is fun, responsive, caring, laughs easily and knows something about sharing a conversation. She would be relaxed and easy with herself and others. Most importantly, she would love life, be curious about it, and have her own sense of direction. She would feel comfortable with a bearded man.
I am easily interested in many things and would describe myself as someone who sees wonder in the ordinary with a fascination for all things human and natural. What we do together is less important than being together. Devotion is a necessary corollary to caring about someone, so that makes me a one woman man. My daughter gave me permission to quote her Christmas card this year, “I will forever be grateful for you giving me the desire for knowledge and growth and seeing beyond what is around us physically.” I am grateful for these words and who is going to argue with their own child?
As age challenges us, here is a quote that inspires, “Youth is a gift, age is an art..” My favorite for well over 30 years was e. e. cummings, “Without love, nothing else makes any sense.”
