So a picture being worth a thousand words makes a profile statement worth a min of 200 characters meaningless and one of 4000 a far cry from an accurate picture….so who am I? First and most important is who I am at my core: I am a Christian and I am a sinner. My faith is very important to me and over the years I have seen many valleys and the most beautiful mountaintops. I want to share my core with someone who understands and values what it means to be equally yoked. My family and friends are very important to me. Having a family of my own to care for and love is a life long goal. I am very caring and put the needs of others in front of my own. I am very honest and more direct than I am indirect. I crack myself up and I have learned the more you laugh at yourself the better off you will be! I am a professional...learner. I have been blessed with a career that has truly blessed me. I have worked with small town USA, National Hospitals, Disaster relief (Katrina & Haiti) and most honorably, the US Army and I am adjunct faculty at Army-Baylor. I have continued to pursue my education and I am currently working on my PhD. I guess I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up?. I am not sure if I would say I am independent because the truth is I would rather just have someone to do it with me. However, I am self-sufficient. I take care of my own yard, I’ve installed security systems, surround sound, I can do electrical work, I take exterminating scorpions very seriously and when there is some other household task that needs to be done, if I can’t figure it out first (you-tube is very helpful), then I might have to call the handyman. For Fun: I am a recreational athlete and fitness has always been a part of my life. The benefits go beyond looking great in that cute sundress….physically, emotionally, psychologically….it’s just good for you! Sports: You have to love sports and feel some depression set in at the end of football season to appreciate how much I love sports...(it’s also part of my PhD so I am not just a freaky fan, I promise). The only other thing I can say about this….Gig’em Aggs!! I LOVE a good two step and then dancing in a circle with my girlfriends to ACDC, I enjoy cooking and having friends over, wine and chocolate are always an option, I find painting relaxing and wish I had time to read for personal pleasure everyday. I am Italian and making pasta takes 2 days, several bottles of wine and good friends. My dating personality: more the old-fashioned conservative type. What happened to the word courting? I think women have become far too aggressive and frankly…sometimes I feel sorry for you guys! (Don’t take this as playing hard to get because that is just as dysfunctional) I appreciate a man who opens the door, stands up when a lady arrives to the table, walks on the outside of the sidewalk (see, I told you I was old-fashioned) and doesn’t just do this for the woman he is with…but women in general. I think dating has been overcomplicated by dirty laundry. We have all broken hearts and had our hearts broken….but if you have not been able to honestly go through the baggage of those relationships you will carry that dirty laundry into the next one. I prefer clean folded laundry that we can acknowledge, take to Goodwill, drop it off and move on. I am at a point in my life where everything I do is intentional keeping the end goal in sight and this includes who I date. So who am I? ……I am that one girl….for that one guy.
