If I'm lucky, maybe I'll meet someone worth spending time in the foxhole with. Us vs. the World.
I'm fortunate in that I knew what I wanted to do pretty early on, and found success in it. I'm in love with traveling and exploring this world when I can. As much as possible, I try to surround myself with good people, good times and laughter. I try to find the humor in most situations, as I think it's the key to survival. Having lived in all the corners of the U.S., traveling a bunch for work and education, wouldn't mind meeting someone who can explore with me. I'm more of a sap than I'll probably admit without alcoholic intervention. But I like it when a woman shocks me... I like to be surprised.
"I want you to get swept away. I want you to levitate. I want you to sing with rapture and dance like a dervish. Be deliriously happy. Or at least leave yourself open to be. I know it's a cornball thing but love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? I say fall head over heels. Find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart... Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love -- well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived."
So, now it's MY turn to ask the questions. What's your favorite restaurant that nobody else knows about? What makes you laugh so hard you can't breathe? What turns you on in life? Where have you always wanted to go, and why haven't you gone yet?
Anybody else determined to find "happy?" (And no... not the dwarf.)
