I'm new on the scene but excited to start a new phase in my life. I'm a traditional girl with old-fashioned values. I make my man a priority and listen intently to my partner. I'd love to find a gentleman of intelligence, integrity and conscience who loves to laugh and enjoy the good things in life. I like a take-charge,man but please, not controlling! Respect who I am and don't try to change me. Together time is key but alone time is also important. I,am well-traveled, fashion-savvy; a girl who enjoys classic movies and television, loves animals and my children (not necessarily in that order) and working out.
Having been a writer and editor for an entertainment magazine in New York many years ago, I am a good communicator. I am honest to a fault so if you really want to know how you look in those jeans, you better be prepared for the answer! I still have a soft spot for New York ( I grew up on Long Island) and enjoy frequent jaunts to the city. I love to see a Broadway show and dine out while people-watching.I have a dry sense of humor and enjoy sparring wits . I love concerts, comedy clubs and rocking it out on the dance floor! However, I also like cuddling while watching a great black and white film or having long talks in front of a fire, board games on a rainy day, cooking at home (I'm told I'm quite the chef), and hikes in the mountains. I have a large circle of friends and I am told I am a great friend, as well.
I am blessed with a wonderful family I've been a stay-at-home mom for many years and am proud of my three wonderful children. One is in grad school, one in college and my high school age daughter will be last to leave the nest. I love passionately and have a deep faith in God who I believe directs our destiny. I 've had a marriage and a long term relationship but not everything lasts forever. However, I am hopeful I will find my soulmate someday.. But enough about me -- I want to hear about you!
