My family encouraged me to discover my dreams and pursue them, and that's what I'm trying to do. I am so thankful for them and hope to one day have a relationship like my parents.
I love learning, traveling, and connecting with people by looking them straight in the eye. I've been lucky to find, and be able to pursue, a career that I'm passionate about- it challenges, teaches, and humbles me daily.
One of my favorite compliments I've ever been given was being compared to a golden retriever.
Ultimately, when it comes to relationships, this passage from C.S. Lewis is never far from my mind. It is what I strive for and it is what I expect.
Lewis writes-
"She was my daughter and my mother, my pupil and my teacher, my subject and my sovereign; and always, holding all these in solution, my trusty comrade, friend, shipmate, fellow-soldier. My mistress; but at the same time, all that any man friend (and I have good ones) has ever been to me. Perhaps more."
