I'm not one to sit back and watch life pass me by. I'm always looking for something different and new to experience. What better way to do that than to travel? There is so much to experience, see, and do when you go to new places. I really enjoy trying new things and I love to travel. I haven't done nearly as much as I'd like, so it would be nice to meet someone who possesses the desire, time, and means to travel, and would like to spend his free time filling his passport with stamps. Weekend and lazy, hang on the beach or by the pool reading, trips are also great. Napa, Mendicino, Santa Barbara, the Russian River, and spa weekends, are a few of my favorite weekend getaways. I do a significant amount of volunteering and charity work because I believe in giving back to the community and helping those who are less fortunate. I've honestly learned that it feels better to give than to receive. I believe in paying it forward, and that we could change the world if every person performed one or more random acts of kindness a day. I enjoy going to museums, the performing arts, concerts, nice dinners, and wine tasting. And while I'm more inclined to want to stay at the Ritz than at a KOA Campground, I do like several outdoor activities which include hiking, biking, beachcombing, and the occasional camping adventure. I am water oriented and enjoy boating, jet skiing, rafting, and going to the beach, lake, or any other body of water, even a pool. =) While being busy is often my preference, I like to enjoy the occasional lazy day; a rainy Sunday spent with enjoyable company watching movies, a game, or reading the paper, while enjoying a homemade brunch, is my idea of a great Sunday! I am not good at tooting my own horn. However, I will say that I try everyday to be the best person that I can be and live by the Golden Rule of "do unto others..." My friends are inclined to describe me as "beautiful, intelligent, fun, kind, and easygoing" This is exactly how I've often heard people describe me. They will also tell you that I'm outspoken and will speak my mind. I'd like to meet someone with a great sense of humor and adventure for life. Someone who is happy and who likes to laugh out loud. I don't have a "wishlist" with the dos and don't of what I'm "seeking in a man", but I do know what I tend to be attracted to. That would be someone who can hold their own in any conversation and speak on just about any subject with a certain amount of authority or at least possesses enough charm to BS their way through it. :) Someone who has achieved some success in their life and is happy with where they are in it. It should go without saying that loyalty and honesty are a must, and are what I treasure most in those who surround me. I"d like to meet someone who believes that love is a commitment made not just from the heart and body, but a decision of the mind, and is looking for a partner, best friend, and lover; the last person he wants to talk to at the end of the day and the hand he wants to hold as he falls asleep. If that's you let grab a drink and see where that takes us! I never thought I'd put a note like I often see on other profiles, but after a couple of experiences, it seems prudent. Please be real. I understand if you've pumped yourself up a little better or shaved a year or two off your age to fit into what you feel is a better age category for you, but showing up looking 10 yrs older, or 100 pounds heavier than what you initially presented yourself to be is deceptive, and there will be nowhere to go from there... Thank you.
