Hi my name is Gary. I can be funny and very fun, and isn’t fun the best thing to have! I love my work, live music, witty comedy and good drama. Since I was in high school I have worked with musicians and in 1976 I started working at it professionally. I am a live sound engineer. I have worked for and toured with many major live music performers; Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers, Toto, REO, Willie Nelson, Al Jarreau, Emmy Lou Harris, Oingo Boingo, B.B. King, Allman Brothers, Rick James, Jefferson Starship, Robert Palmer, Basia, George Thorogood, L.A. Guns, Multi-Band Reggae Tours that even took me to Africa, where Fela & King Sunny Ade were part of the show. These tours have taken me around the States and the World but I rarely got to see the sites, except for the inside of the venue. Yes, I have seen some really cool places and done some really cool things. Had some awesome days off all over the world. Spent many nights in hotels and on tour buses. I quit touring over ten years ago and now I just do local shows a few times a month. In the last ten years or so I have developed my expertise in my hobby into a business. I buy and sell items on eBay and travel to collector conventions nation-wide on a regular basis for my business. But I really love working on live music productions. Setting up and operating large sound systems can be very physically demanding so that has kept me in good shape my whole life. I know I should exercise more but with my slightly wacky work and travel schedule staying on a workout routine is very difficult. I enjoy working out and I feel much better when I do. I have a pool and I enjoy swimming laps, when the water temperature is bearable. I am a Democrat and very liberal. I have strong conviction about what is right or wrong and it has nothing to do with religion. I need to say this because I feel if two people have opposite political or religious views; life and love can be extremely difficult. Plus, I really don’t like to argue with my partner. So if you are politically liberal and religion does not influence every decision you make in life, may be we could be a good match and you should read more about me. I am a good person and easy going, still a hippy at heart with very long hair to prove it, even though it is usually kept back in a ponytail. I love dogs, but mine (Lewis, the greatest dog in the world) just passed away in Aug. 2012 and I really miss my best friend, but I need a little time before I rescue another. Plus I am waiting to see how my new friend/partner/wife feels about pets. If you have a dog that would be great. Cats are OK too. I have been told I have lived an exciting life and I have great stories to tell of many my adventure and life experiences, so I have good conversations with most people but I am also a bit shy until I overcome my initial reserve. I am a good listener, sounding board and conversationalist with my friends and partners and I expect the same courtesy when I need to talk out my problems. I am a bit of a procrastinator, but I can be an awesome dynamo when under the gun. I can be very open and honest even with a stranger (like right now); I am better live (phone or in person) than via email or IM (not so great a speller or typer). I am a casual dresser, I only own one or two ties and never have seen a need to wear one except at a wedding or a funeral. I have had long hair and my beard since I was in college. My beard is going gray but there are very few gray hairs elsewhere and no bald spots or receding hairlines. I look, act and feel much younger then my numerical age, good genes run in my family. Most people assume or guess I am about 45-48, but I am being honest in this profile. Most of the pictures I posted are very recent, so there will not be any surprises there. I think it would take a very special woman to think I am "The ONE" for her and I am looking for YOU! I hope to make YOU very Happy and Satisfied with OUR Future and Life To
