People frequently comment to me about how laid-back I am, how I don't fit the characteristic DC type A personality. I use laughter and my sense of humor to deal with stresses. Outside of work, everyday life is full of regular stuff like school, swim team, cooking, gardening, playgrounds or parks, museums, etc. I love movies, music, sports, and good conversation with interesting people. During football season you can usually find me with a game on and a fire in the fireplace. I love getting out of town, even for a weekend, and exploring new places. I am making my way through the National Parks all over the U.S. with the favorites so far being Acadia, Yosemite, Yellowstone and Arches. I have lived overseas in the past and love it, can't wait to go back! As far as my personality, I am (sometimes brutally) honest and straight-forward, but yet compassionate and affectionate, hard working but not over-stressed, independent and intelligent, and admittedly quite a bit of a smart ass! I am very well grounded and have a strong appreciation for the simple things in life - the most important being family. I am health conscious, of course, but not overly so. Gotta enjoy life, including the unhealthy stuff every now and then. I am an excellent listener and very open-minded. I tend to get along with just about anyone, and I can't say that I really have a "type." I have learned that sometimes it works when you least expect it to. I'm looking for a long term relationship with my best friend who is open to seeing where things go. I primarily look for someone who is trustworthy and has similar values and priorities in life. Someone who has any drama behind them and is ready to move on. He can carry on a good conversation and of course gets along well with kids. So shoot me an email and say hello, ask any questions if you're curious. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
