They say there’s a first time for everything, so why not?
It's never easy talking about oneself, but here's some basics about me:
30 y/o, single, never married, no kids, and I don't live in my mom's basement. Sounds good so far? In that case, keep reading...
I’m a pretty laid back, happy-go-lucky kind of guy. Life's been really great and I've managed to keep it pretty drama-free.
I am driven and know what I want in life. I'm independent and always on the go. I strive to live life to the fullest and appreciate every good thing that comes my way, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.
I love to have fun and I’m always down for new adventures (I went skydiving once, talk about scary!). Sometimes I tend to take things a little overboard, and people think I'm crazy. Kinda like when I went running with the bulls in Spain. I didn't think I could ever run that fast, but it's amazing what you can do when you're being chased by a herd of angry animals.
Jack of all trades, master of none. I’m always trying to learn new skills, although I am far from being the modern day MacGyver. I do speak three languages though, would like to learn Portuguese as a fourth, and I’m pretty handy with a box of tools too! That doesn't mean I'll change your oil for free... well, maybe if you make me a sandwich or something.
I really like my job, most days. But it’s not my life, so I don’t take it too seriously. My work schedule is a little weird, but other than that, I can’t really complain. I like work, but I like my free time even better.
I love hanging out with my friends whenever I can, and we have a total blast, usually doing something silly and laughing until our insides hurt. Above everything else, my family is most important. I have four wonderful sisters (wish I had at least one brother) who always have my back, and a couple of nieces and nephews who think I'm the best uncle ever. My family is pretty quirky and crazy, but I love them and wouldn't have them any other way.
Traveling is a passion that I will always have. I’ve been fortunate enough that I’ve been able to do so over the past few years. I want to see the world, while I’m still young, and explore everything it has to offer. It doesn’t matter where. It could be a weekend motorcycle trip somewhere, backpacking through Europe, or laying out on some exotic beach. I just spent the last month going all over Colombia in S. America and that was one of the best experiences ever. I can't wait for the next adventure.
Food… besides traveling, is my other addiction. I'm a total foodie. I am constantly seeking out new places to eat here and abroad. I’m willing to try something new at least once and will chow down on just about anything, except anything pumpkin. I can't wait for Anthony Bourdain to retire, so I can take over his show. That'd be my dream job.
By the way, chivalry isn’t dead. I still open doors for women, give up my seat, or give you my coat if you’re cold. Some call it old fashioned, but I just see it as being a gentleman. I blame my dad for that one.
And just to put it out there, I'm not on the fast track towards serious-relationship-land. I'm not a serial dater either, meaning I'm not on here to go on as many dates as possible. I'm just looking for someone cool to hang out with, have some fun with, and we'll see where it goes from there.
So what kind of person would I like to meet? For starters, someone with a good sense of humor, witty, and confident. Someone who has a good head on her shoulders and shows it. Someone I can have fun, stimulating, and interesting conversations with. Someone who has a passport (preferably has used it before). A person who isn’t afraid to be a little adventurous from time to time, while laughing together along the way. Maybe it could be you?
