I'm a very deep and passionate person; sincere and honest -- so I think people get a pretty good sense of me right from the start. In a relationship, I am loyal, honest, respectful, communicative, patient, selfless, affectionate, gentle, generous, and kind. I hope to find a partner who is the same. I am generally a quiet, stay-at-home kind of person (I'm not boring, but I'm not high-maintenance and demanding...I'm happy just spending time with the person I love), but I am also the girl you can take out to meet up with friends -- I often light up the room, enjoy making people laugh, and can hold my own in most topics of conversation. I absolutely love to dance, and I hope to learn ballroom in the near future. I also love to cook and enjoy entertaining friends at home; and while I don't have as much time for it as I'd like, I also enjoy designing and sewing clothes and costumes (comes in handy during Halloween). :) I like my partner to be my best friend and my "playmate" (I want to do almost everything together). I am constantly teaching myself new things -- I love learning -- so...you'll see me reading and researching on the computer frequently, or watching AE, History, or Fox News. While I most enjoy deep, interesting conversations and quiet nights, I also occasionally like to get out, dance, attend cultural events, and meet new people.
WHERE I AM IN MY LIFE - I am serious about finding a great person who wants (and believes in) marriage and a lifetime commitment; someone who will want to start a family. I am truly ready and excited to give my heart and share my life with just one person - I will be a wonderful wife and mother!
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR - In addition to finding someone I am attracted to, I am looking for someone with a deeply loving and gentle heart, who is honest, communicates well, is emotionally available and open, who wants to learn and grow - emotionally and spiritually, and who prides himself in being A MAN OF CHARACTER. I tend to be so giving, that I usually attract someone who is selfish, so I hope to find someone who enjoys taking care of me and doing nice things for me, too...someone I can depend on when we have children (you will not mind if I stay home with them while they're young) - spending time with them, taking care of them, and helping them learn and grow into whole, loved, human beings.
MY BACKGROUND AND VALUES - I want to take a moment to discuss my values, because I am looking for a partner whose values are similar to mine. I am a political conservative -- I try to educate myself in history and politics so that I can be aware of the issues we face as a country...I think this comes from my father. When he was 15, he came to the US from Cuba - alone, with nothing but the clothes he was wearing - and lived in a refugee camp for 6 months...all to escape Castro who took my grandfather's bookstore. My father became an engineer and even holds a patent on a pacemaker. My mother grew up in dirt-floor-poor conditions in Puerto Rico, came to the States when she was 11, found her way to college, and became a computer science engineer. From nothing, my parents came to the US, learned English, became professionals, worked hard all their lives, and helped to give me a better life than their own.... I also have two beautiful sisters - amazing women and successful professionals - my parents did something right! ;-) My core personal values are based in my Christian upbringing. I am working to attend church regularly, as I feel it helps remind me of the kind of person God wants me to be - treating others with love, kindness, and respect...the way I would want to be treated in return. I LOVE God and I attribute EVERYTHING I have to Him...I have been very blessed in my life...and I want to give thanks for it. I'm looking for someone who believes in God (or at least, a creator / higher power), has similar values, and who also strives to be a better person each day.
