I'm dedicated to my job as a teacher and love spending time with close friends and family. I want to make the world a better place by serving others. I'm looking for someone to share life with and to have adventures with (especially hiking/snowshoeing/other outdoor adventures!). I want someone who shares a passion for life and for helping others. I appreciate someone who is driven/passionate about their work and about serving others...but I tend to take life in general very seriously, and wouldn't mind someone who could bring a bit of a different perspective, with more of a focus on just having fun!
I grew up mostly in North Carolina (although moved around a lot in my early childhood - I was born in NY and lived in Indianapolis, Salt Lake City and Pittsburgh all before 3rd grade). After finishing my degrees in Elementary Education and History, I spent two years abroad in the Dominican Republic teaching 1st grade, and then 5th grade. It was an extremely challenging two years, and I came back wanting a change of scenery (and a place that has a real winter!), so I moved to Salt Lake. I'm in my second year of teaching here, and love my job (most of the time!) and living in the area.
