I grew up in Connecticut and went to college in Michigan. Go Blue!! If you're an Ohio State fan, it ends here...I pursued a research career in Psychology for four years after college before deciding to focus on social media marketing. I've lived in 6 cities since high school, which I think has given me some perspective on urban life and what's important to me in a home. I love New York City for its abundance of activity, multiculturalism, intellectual appeal, and edginess. At the same time, I also appreciate quiet spaces, tree-lined streets, and jogging paths. In balance, my living preferences say a lot about who I am as a person.
I volunteer for a program called ArtStart, which delivers art programming for teens in shelters across the city. The program has allowed me to stay in touch with the early years of my career while my professional interests continue to evolve. I'm an avid reader. Lately I'm reading more non-fiction than fiction - currently The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin. Being physically active helps me stay balanced, and I try to incorporate different forms of exercise in my workouts. Paddleboarding has been a regular activity for me this summer, as well as yoga and jogging.
Qualities that are important to me in a significant other are compassion, intelligence, and overall "goofyness." I'd like to be with someone who is in touch with his inner child, but can also carry on interesting dinner conversation. I consider myself very giving, not simply in the literal sense but also emotionally, and it is important that I see the same in others. I believe that the most successful long-term relationships are characterized by deep friendship. To that end, I am looking for someone whom I would consider a best friend.
