Me In a nutshell:
-I can almost always have fun and make friends in most situations.
-I am an animal lover- I have a puppy and a cat, and I love horses (I used to own an off the track thoroughbred).
-I have a pretty dry and sarcastic sense of humor; however, I find it hard to relay that via email and text messaging!
-I really enjoy theater, and hope to get involved in some community theater in the area once I get settled. I have done everything from acting and signing in musicals to straight plays and improv comedy. While not on stage I have also worked backstage as a stage manager, light board op and producer!
-My other major hobby is horseback riding. I don't ride competitively anymore, but I really enjoy working with rescue horses, especially off the track thoroughbreds. I learned to ride English, but I also love a good trail ride in a Western saddle.
-I am completing my Master's Paper for my MPH program in Public Health Leadership.
-I have been in the research/technology field for a long while, but have most recently decided to expand my knowledge in computer programing in the banking industry.
-I am involved in my church and have a ton of fun singing in choir and participating in different groups, and I have always appreciated the community that a church fosters. That being said, I am not super conservative or closed minded, and I would never consider myself "preachy"!
Other than that, I love traveling, stand-up comedy, movies, theater, food, wine, beer, and hiking with my dog (to name a few). I can even hang at a sporting event, but I do prefer my ACC teams (go Tarheels!). I am open to trying new things. (I learned how to clam last summer). I will give my insights on that if we decide to get together.
