I am the epitome of contradiction. Born and raised in New Orleans, I am a southern girl with old-fashioned values. On the other hand, I have moved around the world on my own, and worship and celebrate my independence. I have lived in New Orleans most of my life, and returned last year after spending 5 years between Los Angeles and Maui. I love to travel and find it hard to be in one place for an extended period of time. It is not uncommon for me to find myself on spontaneous road trips. I have visited 8 countries and I look forward to adding to the list. I am perfectly content traveling solo, but hope to someday find the person that I love to share my adventures with. Someday I would like to return to the west coast, but for now I am enjoying everything that New Orleans has to offer.
I would rather watch the sunset than anything on television, and only have a TV because my brother-in-law bought it for me when he was visiting over Christmas. I am a die hard Saints fan and love all things football in general. To contradict myself again, the only thing I like to watch on TV (when I'm not actually at the games) is NFL football. My family is most important to me, and my nephew is my favorite person and the coolest guy in the whole world. There is much more I could tell you, but that's all I can think of for now.
I am looking for someone who I can talk to - who is articulate and uses proper grammar. I know that might sound petty to some, but it is important to me. I also want to be with someone who gives me space to be myself. It has taken 30 years, but I am finally able to embrace and be true to who I am. I will not change or apologize for that. (sorry!) Oh, and if you are wearing Mardi Gras beads or anything relating to LSU in your photos, we will probably not have anything in common. Not that I don't love Mardi Gras...there's just a time and place for it, and this isn't it.
