Westley seeking Buttercup (though hopefully with a more dignified name!)
Ok! Life story in 10 seconds! Born in LA to a Jewish/Mexican family. In high school, simultaneous captain of a varsity sports team and leader of the Bridge Club. 5 post college years in NYC, working in community service/education nonprofits. Wanted to see more of the world, so I moved to Italy for a year, Argentina for a summer, then DC for graduate school. Now a consultant by day and dancer by night (not that kind of dancer - though I could totally pull it off). Work and extracurriculars keep me quite busy, and I'm not into the bar scene, so I thought I'd try here!
The desire for exposure to a diversity of people and ideas also explains why I do what I do for my job - I read news from across the world, attempt to understand why things happen, and then help companies manage risk in such stress-free places like the Middle East and North Africa.
Lightning Round!
Family is extremely important to me. I have an adopted sister who my parents were/are incredible to take care of; I have immense respect for them.
I own a perfect replica of Inigo Montoya's sword.
I love being active (dance, hiking, tennis and martial arts esp. - planning to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro later this year!).
I was once stranded on an island.
I had an existential crisis in a Nicaraguan garbage dump.
I've had two chameleons hurled at me.
I recently joined a board for a local nonprofit.
I have a fake tooth from a game of Godzilla v. Japanese army (when I was a camp counselor) gone wrong.
I'm on here to find someone who wants to try and get on the Amazing Race with me (only half-kidding - I would kick on that show).
So enough about me; I'm here to meet you! I enjoy people who have a zest for life, who have a desire to try new things, and above all, and pardon the cheese, who are genuinely kind. That said, I love sarcasm, I think smart is sexy, and nothing makes me happier than witty banter with a partner. If you're a balance of sweet and sarcastic, silly and smart, I'd love to meet you! Especially send me a message if you're interested in doing day/road trips in the area, enjoy dancing, like pretending to be a food snob (but really aren't), and/or think attending a Viennese Ball sounds like an awesome date!
