Hi! So, I moved to Denver from D.C. four years ago for grad school and have since fallen in love with Colorado. I am originally from Boston, MA, and thus my favorite season is the fall, I sometimes feel a little claustrophobic living in a landlocked state, and I think everyone in CO drives too slow. I don't take myself too seriously and I guess I have always been sort of a clown. I would say that I am compassionate and sincere, extroverted, loyal, and the type of person who usually puts the happiness of my friends and family above my own (although this can sometimes be a character flaw...) . I love to bake (I make the best banana bread you'll ever taste!) and I am also a science nerd and a tree-hugging, liberal environmental scientist. I call everyone "dude" and have cried every time I visit the polar bear enclosure at the zoo. It seems as though everyone on this site says that they like to travel. I'm no different. My dream vacation has always been Iceland and Norway. Although I would really like to visit Scotland someday too. And I love road trips. I am very close with my family and because I am the only family member who doesn't live on the east coast, I really miss them, especially my mom. What else? I love my dog and we are pretty much inseparable. I love going to brunch. I am really good at building a fire and I am a really good dancer (at least I think that I am...). I love glitter and sequins, I just learned how to snowboard last winter and am looking forward to getting better at it this year, and I recently ran my first half-marathon in Vancouver in August and finished my second one in Austin in January. I'm thinking the third one will be somewhere on the east coast this fall... I am pretty happy, independent, and easy going, and I have a really amazing group of friends that I love spending time with. I also am a firm believer in "chemistry" and I think that you don't know if you really have that spark with someone until you meet them in person and get to look them in the eye while you talk to them. I am looking for a man who is comfortable in his own skin, laid back, smart, honest, and has an excellent sense of both humor and adventure. And I think that it's creepy when dudes claim that they want to "treat you like a princess"... which I've never heard a guy say before I signed up for match.com... (I also am a huge fan of beards and flannel.)
