This is the place for me to write something about me. The fact that I've written this statement meets the requirements and releases me from the obligation of further compliance with the rules of this text box.
Originally I had a statement here written by a friend. I felt that while it did describe me, it was not me speaking and therefore was impersonal. So I have replaced it with the following (written by me).
I am first and foremost a Christian, not to be confused with what society would call a Christian these days (I'm OK, you're OK, everyone gets to go to Heaven that's a "good person") but rather what the term was originally intended for, a not just a believer but also a follower of Jesus.
I enjoy writing and have written / published two books. In the works right now are two novels and a book I'm assisting a friend in writing.
Music is very important to me, especially music that praises and tells people about Jesus. I have released a few CD's on my independent record label as a solo artist. At this time I'm attempting to "get the band back together." The band's function is to spread the gospel to as far across the Earth as God takes us. If that means world wide success, excellent, but at the same time being "local heroes" is just as fine with me.
My other claim to fame is artwork. I primarily specialize in oil painting landscapes, but also enjoy a wide variety of other mediums.
I've spent the majority of my career in the child care industry, primarily as a pre-school teacher. I enjoy helping people.
I don't really have a list of musts on who I'm looking for. So many people will make out a list and refuse to accept anybody who doesn't meet each and every item on that list; then they end up missing out on a wonderful relationship because somebody doesn't have the right color of hair or something. There's of course all the values that (I hope) most are looking for: honest, trustworthiness, kindness, etc, etc. And a sharing of interests is always nice. But the one thing I do absolutely require is that you must be a Christian.
