I’m one of those lucky guys who got to be exactly what I wanted when I grew up (other than leading the Cubs to a world series and marrying Princess Leia). I'm a forensic psychologist (a profiler) so I'm a fine balance of nerd and tough guy :) I love my work. As a bonus.it also makes me like a ninja when it comes to being interesting: I have fascinated you before you even knew I was in the room. It's been fun but I'm ready to make my life about my special person.
I got on Match the old fashioned way: My friends pushed me into it. So far it's been great, I've met some amazing people but apparently I have a "type": I only click with a woman who is also unconventional, super-clever, and knows how to bring the funny. She's not your typical South Florida woman and she's proud of it. If other guys think you're too quirky, strong-willed, or opinionated then you are definitely my type.
I've got an irreverent streak but I'm old fashioned about love---not like I'd show up for a date on horseback, but I still think it's important for a guy to be respectful and chivalrous. My parents are happily married for over 45 years and they raised me right: Honest, loyal, hard working but laid back, humble, with a dry sense of humor. Since my work gives me plenty of excitement I enjoy my free time doing simple things---having dinner with friends, taking my dogs to the park, working on my house, cooking, and other normal stuff :)
If we can't make each other think, laugh, or be fascinated then we might become great friends but we should hold out for someone else. Let's see what happens!
