I moved out to Colorado from Wisconsin about 5 years ago to attend grad school at DU; however, I spent the last year out in SoCal for an internship. While I liked Cali, I realized just how much I had come to consider Denver my home. I've definitely haven't taken advantage of all CO has to offer while bogged down with grad school and work over the last couple of years, so I came back this fall to rediscover CO and find more balance now that I'm graduating.
So...let me share a few random things about myself. I adore my family. My big sis lives in Atlanta and I enjoy taking trips to visit her. I'm originally from Wisconsin and my parents still live there, which gives me an excuse to go back a couple times a year and get my WI fix. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergrad and am a devoted Badger athletics fan. I'm also a born and bred Packer fan (don’t be jealous). If you couldn't tell, I’m proud of my Midwestern roots and embody a lot of your typical Midwestern traits (with a little bit more edge), but I felt the need to branch out. I’m generally laid-back, friendly, sporty, independent, genuine, a little artsy, passionate about my work and values, and often sarcastic. I can be kind of a smart ass, but the fun kind that most people enjoy. :) My friends here are fantastic, fun, and I consider them my Colorado family. My social life is important to me, but I sometimes like a little space to recharge and spend some quality downtime. I think laughing is fuel for the soul and like to do so often. I usually prefer neighborhood pubs over the downtown scene, but am up for anything that sounds like a good time. I'm always on the search for my new favorite craft brew or wine and love being outside whenever possible. While I have my usual activities, I like to mix it up a bit and try new things. What's on the agenda this year? Skydiving, a polar bear plunge, learning to fly fish, picking up a new sport, painting more often, Costa Rica, a rafting trip, and maybe my pilot's license? I’m always up for traveling, whether it be a weekend trip to a mountain town or a yearly journey to a foreign country.
I love my life and I guess I’m just looking for someone who loves their own and wants to share the adventure together. I prefer guys who are laid-back, active (but not obsessively so), assertive, adventurous, out-going(ish), open-minded, and that have an awesome sense of humor. Major bonus points if you enjoy witty, sarcastic banter...it makes everything more fun. I’m attracted to guys who have a great smile that reaches their eyes, are compassionate, comfortable in their own skin, and who are driven, but don’t take themselves too seriously. Knowing what you want and still being open for surprises is a great combination in a person. Oh yeah, and you must love dogs...big dogs. Overall, I’m looking for someone who has similar interests, but has unique passions of their own that they want to share with me. I'm always looking to grow.
This all probably sounds incredibly generic and really, nothing can explain or replace great chemistry, so message me and we’ll see what happens!!
