I tend to surprise people when they find out how much I love the outdoors. Even some of my closest friends think I'm a certified city-girl but, how wrong they are! Born and raised in a small town in South Carolina and then East Texas, I'm still a small-town girl at heart. I headed to Houston after college and stayed for 13 years but moved to San Antonio a year ago to be near my family. I love being outdoors but hate bugs and snakes and anything rat-like. I'm brave about a lot of things but not the flying roaches. I love shopping, good food and culture but I can't wait to get in my car to drive out to wide open spaces. I love queso, grits (Carolina-remember?) and sweet tea. I love to ski, white water raft, hike, ride bikes, run and anything else where sun and sweat are required. I'm hard working and have made a way for myself in this world but it can be a little tough navigating the waters all by yourself. My Christian faith is of utmost importance to me. I've walked through the valleys and stood on the mountaintops in my walk with God, but He continues to show me that He is with me no matter where I run or how I stumble. And He loves me no matter what. Honesty and transparency are big with me-what you see is what you get and I'll usually tell you what's on my mind. Some say I wear my heart on my sleeve. It's burned me a time or two but I've also come to realize, it's who I am and why those who know me, love me. I love my friends and family and can't even begin to imagine my life without them but I'd also like someone with whom to share them and all the things life can bring. I love to laugh and I hope to find someone who can make me laugh so hard that my stomach hurts. I'm looking for someone who understands the meaning of hard work but also knows there is more to life-someone who knows what is really important at the end of a day-someone who cherishes family and friends and kids-someone who can help me keep my feet on the ground. My bosses won't be there in the end but the ones that I've sat up all night and cried with-they will. And that, to me, is what it's all about.
