About me: I am an adventurous, grounded person. My personality and demeanor ranges from serious and intense to whimsical and easy going - depends on my environment. Work tends to edge me more to the serious intense side. I am not one to be the center of attention but I enjoy being around others who do. I am just as comfortable in a suit and tie or shorts and a tool belt and over the course of the week you may find me in either.
I moved to South Florida from Chicago a few years ago. A consulting project is what brought me to Florida. The weather and adventure keeps me here. I now work for an international company based in FL. It requires a bit of travel and that adds to the adventure.
My week-end routine varies. I enjoy renovating and restoring old homes and am personally pretty handy. I also enjoy being active: tennis, swimming, scuba, sailing, cycling, and pretty much anything that gets me outside. I just started Yoga. In the winter I occasionally enjoy the snow and you may find me skiing with my fearless nephews.
Charity is important to me. I have a great life and enjoy helping others. I work with a couple of organizations including Rebuilding Together and Make-a-Wish and find that very rewarding.
At this point in my life, I find more interest in spending an evening having a great meal and a bottle of wine. I do love going out to bars with friends from time to time especially if we are exploring a new city.
My match: I would like to find someone who helps balance me. I am looking for someone who is more extroverted than I - a little bit goofy is good. An adventurous personality is a must. Someone who has goals and ambition. Trust and honesty are also very core to me. If you can be a good friend that is a great start.
