I have a very technical job in the space industry that I love that both challenges and rewards me. Unfortunately it is also very time consuming and nearly devoid of women.
So some non-work info on me: I grew up in the San Francisco area, went to UC Irvine, and recently completed my Masters at USC. I love to go on day trips (San Diego, Santa Barbara, Catalina) long bike rides (I recently went from Newport to San Diego, taking Amtrak back), scuba diving in Laguna followed by breakfast at The Cottage, movies, cooking interesting dishes, hiking, oil painting, wine tasting, and drinking Belgian ales. I enjoy art and music (I listen to Rock, alternative, pop, dance, classical, etc) I would like to go to plays, symphonies, or do corny touristy things.
I recenty bought a condo and adopted a puppy. She's an adorable Labrador retriever mix (she loves to chew on everything). Much of my days are spent either walking and playing with her or doing home improvements (Home Depot and Lowe's are my favorite hang-outs).
In the past I have taken ball room dancing lessons but am not a very good dancer - I am willing to try if you are patient (very patient, and wearing steel towed shoes). Dancing really isn't my calling, although I really enjoyed the tango. I also cannot sing but appreciate people who can.
Also love travelling, though that seems connected to food in some way. I am an adventurous eater. Most of my travels have been to Europe and Australia. I do look forward to visiting Asia sometime soon.
