I wouldn't classify myself as a specific "type" of girl because I'm pretty eclectic in general (not to say I lack direction because I promise I don't) so I've listed results from a recent "About Ashley" survey taken by family and friends...don't worry they were paid in leftover bite-sized Snickers from Halloween for participating.
Okay, so...I didn't actually survey people, let alone have any Snickers leftover but I'd say this gives a decent snapshot of me. :)
Summary of open-ended responses:
Her faith, family and close group of friends are important to her
candid and sincere
genuine interest in those she surrounds herself with and puts others before herself
Loves meeting new people
Nerds out on random topics and gets a kick out of others who do the same
Appreciates a good "that's what she said" comment
laid-back
quirky and pretty sassy
Drinks coffee 24/7
Loves meeting friends for a drink at hole in the wall bars
Loves good quotes and opportunities for self-improvement
A sucker for music with good beats or lyrics!
Wishes she could spend all summer on the water
Loves to travel but can't afford it as often as she'd like
Always up for trying new things but shamelessly admits she's only 82% daredevil
Leads an active lifestyle but does enjoy vegging on the couch for a movie or good show
Prefers meaningful 1:1 conversations over awkward small talk
Has a positive outlook on life and great attitude even in stressful times
Goal-oriented and challenges herself daily
On to other things...I'm not sure how I feel about online dating but due to a pretty busy class and work schedule, free time is minimal. And although going out for drinks is fun, I don't think meeting someone in a bar is ideal for me. I like a guy who views us as partners, can easily carry on a good conversation, genuinely interested in getting to know me as I will with him, goal-oriented, and most importantly seeks God's will in his life. Although I stumble often, I try to live my life in a way pleasing to God and look for the same in whoever I'm dating.
