I grew up in Southern New Jersey and moved to the Raleigh area to attend NC State about 9 years ago. After State, I tried out Durham for two years when I was in Grad School at Duke. I now work in environmental consulting and I'm one of the lucky ones that actually enjoy what they do ( which is good because I travel quite a bit and work takes up most of my time these days).
I thought I would give this a try after my brother and cousin both found their wives using this site (not too mention a handful of my friends). Their experience gives me hope that this can work and so I thought I would give it a shot. I'm looking forward to meeting new friends with the potential for something more. Ideally, I'm looking for a lasting relationship with my future best friend. I'm not sure I'm cut out for online dating but it's been an interesting experience so far.
In general, I like trying new things and always up for the occasional spontaneous adventure. I enjoy going out and being social, but have no problem staying in and relaxing instead. Family is very important to me and even though we are spacially spread out pretty far ( one brother lives on the west coast) I consider myself pretty close to my siblings (including the in-laws) and I value their opinion.
I'm looking for someone who is confident, witty and has passion for life. Some level of ambition or happiness in your career wouldn't hurt either. If you think this describes you, then I'd like to hear from you. :)
