I can’t believe it but it has now been over 6 years that I have lived in San Diego and it is finally starting to feel like home. I’m originally from Ohio and get told often that I have good Midwestern values which must be a good thing or people probably wouldn’t bring it up.
Before moving to San Diego I lived in Jacksonville, FL for almost 5 years which was nice but it definitely isn’t San Diego. I guess I can tell you a little about how I ended up in FL. As you already know I grew up in Ohio (outside of Cincinnati) I also attended Miami University (Ohio). After graduation I knew I wanted to move somewhere to experience something new but couldn't really make a decision so I decided I would pack everything I could fit in my truck and drive east until I hit the ocean. From there the plan was to drive south until I hit a nice beach town and look for a job. About a month before graduation a friend decided he wanted move as well but said he at least needed to know what city we were moving to before he could set out on the road. We did what any guys would do at that age. We picked up a US atlas went to a bar and started picking cities and states. How we ended in Jacksonville I have no idea but I met some great friends and enjoyed my time there so it worked out in the end.
As you can probably tell from my pictures I am usually up for anything from a weekend trip to hanging around the house for dinner and a movie.
