Hi, I moved to DC about two years ago to work for a consulting company and I still feel like I got here yesterday. For fun, I enjoy sporting events. I am a little bit of a sports nut. I grew up in a college town so I love football in the fall, basketball/hockey in the winter, and playing softball in the summer. Now that I am in DC I am making an effort to go to the Nats, Redskins, and Caps games but I still prefer the Tigers, Michigan State football, and Red Wings.
I love traveling. The more countries I can cross of my list the better. My family picks a place every year and we just take a week or two and go. Best places thus far are Scotland and Ireland. I can’t help it, I am a sucker for all that green open space and extremely friendly people (and good beer didn’t hurt either).
I enjoy random DC excursions. Best nights in DC have been the ones were my friends and I have just stumbled in a random hole in the wall and made friends with everyone in the place. People in this city are from everywhere and I enjoying hearing their stories or just people watching. The previously mentioned things, along with playing sports on the mall, going to a museum, or finding a new restaurant are on my top things to do list to make for a good weekend. It is great to meet people who aren’t afraid to be a tourist in their own city.
