I grew up in Southern California, spent summers in Europe as a child, and have lived in Boston and Manhattan, among other East Coast cities. In graduate school I conducted doctoral research in Italy, France, and England. I still take pleasure in traveling and being active and busy, but thrive in the company of someone special and for whom I truly care. It's that profound sense of security, trust, and reliability that I'm looking for. In return, I bring to the table generosity, appreciation, and supportiveness, providing the dedication and emotional foundations that make for a satisfying and loving relationship.
I believe, too, that one's life should be fun, as carefree as possible, and richly lived. While I enjoy high culture (music, museums, and the like), I also recognize the simple things. For me, it's often the smallest of gestures that express the most profound feelings, hence I understand the importance of being sensitive and perceptive for a successful relationship and look for the same attributes in a mate.
