Chivalry is not dead, I feel that all women should be held in the highest esteem and treated with utmost respect and loyalty. Robert E. Lee best summed up what it means to be a gentleman while President of Washington College, this is how I was raised and strive to be in everyday life.
"The forbearing use of power does not only form a touchstone, but the manner in which an individual enjoys certain advantages over others is a test of a true gentleman.
The power which the strong have over the weak, the employer over the employed, the educated over the unlettered, the experienced over the confiding, even the clever over the silly the forbearing or inoffensive use of all of this power or authority, or a total abstinence from it when the case admits it, will show the gentleman in a plain light.
The gentleman does not needlessly and unnecessarily remind an offender of a wrong he may have committed against him. He cannot only forgive, he can forget; and he strives for that nobleness of self and mildness of character which impart sufficient strength to let the past be but the past. A true man of honor feels humbled when he cannot help humbling others."

I like to sit back and watch people, you learn a lot about someone by watching their interaction with others and how they carry themselves. This probably comes along with being an introvert and an engineer, observe and analyze. My personality type is ISTP according to Myers-Briggs, the profile for ISTP describes me to perfection. I'd like to meet someone that has common interests but is open to new ideas and activites, someone that will challenge me and will want to be challenged right back. I like intelligent conversation but if I have nothing important or pertinant to say I prefer to sit and listen. I am on an endless pursuit of knowledge and will absorb anything that interests me like a sponge. My latest fascination is vacuum tube stereo amplifiers and audio equipment, I've been reading engineering textbooks to learn basic principles and have started acquiring parts to build a Dynaco ST-35. Starting earlier this year I decided it was time to get in shape and get rid of some of the college weight. I started riding my bike again and it soon became a healthy obsession. I logged over 6000 miles this year and as a result lost about 35 lbs. Hoping to hit the gym during the winter and get some much needed muscle tone and mass back and start doing some racing again next season. I like to hang with my pal Tom at his space, there probably isn't too many guys in Mackinaw so I should be easy to find there.
I have a 3 year old son that is my hero, he is the most amazing person I know. I know I'm biased but he is the smartest kid on the planet with a memory and imagination as vast as the far reaches of the universe. I maintain a solid friendship with his mother for his benefit and nothing should ever get in the way of that.
