I just moved to Houston and don't really know anyone in the city. I'm a social person and also adventurous, so it'd be great to find someone to go check out all the cool stuff that must be out there.
I'm into running – I try to run 5x a week and have completed 2 halfs and one full marathon. I wouldn't say I love to run, but I like the sense of accomplishment in doing something hard. Like walking up a mountain (no “climbing” for me – scared of heights, lol) just to say I got to the top.
I'm also equally committed to my down time which usually involves some mix of sports, pool (both kinds), watching sports, beer, sitting, reading, eating, or watching movies. Somewhere in all of that I also hold down a job which I find interesting and rewarding.
So, hopefully you are someone that is also adventurous – or would at least humor me and come along on some of my lame excursions. I'd also expect you have interests of your own, maybe a job or pursuing your education and enjoy going out and being social sometimes. While I'm interested in having a family of my own sometime, I'm not keen to date someone that has children already...too complicated.
I travel quite a bit for work, so if I'm slow in responding...sorry.
