Attorney/DJ trying to figure out if the two are mutually exclusive...but I think a balance is easily struck. I hope. (You know, one is left-brained and the other is right-brained?) This past year I started DJing after a 5-year break and within 4 months I was doing gigs at nightclubs and lounges here in LA. I mix more rap and house/trance ("EDM") with an emphasis on the latter, but my primary focus is naturally dance music. If you have any recommendations, send them my way! I'm fond of a multicultural lifestyle; I like to travel a lot. So far I've been to more than 20 countries and I speak 3 languages with varying degrees of proficiency: English, Spanish, and Japanese. I've lived in Tokyo, Sevilla, Maryland (born & raised), and Chicago, but I call LA my home. Then again, I always say that I wish I lived in Honolulu. I am a very adventurous eater...ask me, I've probably tried it and enjoyed it. This past year I managed to go to Europe in the summer and India in the winter...I think I'll have to wait a little before next stop: Australia!
I consume information like people consume food. It's sort of a lifelong dream of mine to go on Jeopardy before Alex Trebek dies. I don't know how much time I have left (especially since he just had a heart attack), so I'm speedily trying to memorize the plotlines of Shakespeare's plays, among other things.
I feel most at peace when I'm in the ocean floating (but obviously, I prefer riding) on a surfboard. It's like my zen, or something. Whenever I see "big blue," my mind is suddenly at peace and reggae music starts playing in my head. I'm still learning how to surf; I think I should have started much younger than age 23, because that's a steeeeeeep learning curve.
I try to keep an active lifestyle...as in gym/exercise 3-4 times a week at least, and lately I've become a yoga adherent. I also go hiking whenever I can, let me know if you have found any great trails that aren't overloaded.
