I've heard that people sleep in on the weekends. That it's some kind of reward for getting through the work week. I must be strange, then, because it's a 6am wake up on the weekends to go train for a triathlon or a road race coming up.
Not to say that's all I do: not bloody hardly. I also love to sing karaoke, brew my own beer, catch a concert (The Gaslight Anthem - if you haven't heard of them, go look 'em up. I'll wait), take my dog to the park for some frisbee action, or stay in all day with a good book. One of those eclectic types, I suppose.
So, I'm a software engineer at a company in greater Fort Lauderdale, and I'm happy where I'm at, but I'm looking for something more, while I'm at it. A scuba diving partner, late night diner buddy, someone who can discuss the Singularity in one breath and laugh at a terrible pun in the next. Or lament why we don't have flying cars, but do have reality TV (Seriously, I'll trade it all for a hoverboard). I'd like someone smart, (reasonably) fit, educated, and with a wicked sense of humour. Success isn't necessarily a requirement, but ambition is.
Also, absolute bonus points if you know where a great beer bar, BBQ joint, or burger place is. I haven't found any of those here, yet, and I'm starting to jones for a proper rack of Memphis dry rub.
