I moved out to SoCal for work 6 years ago. I work for a construction company and spend a lot of time at work and travelling for work. I really enjoy my job. I love the complex challenges of the jobs I help build, but the amount of my time it requires can make it difficult to meet people outside of work. After work I want to talk to someone about anything, but the logistics of a construction site. I grew up in Illinois, went to college in Indiana, spent some time in Iowa, Missouri, Colorado, and California during my college summers doing internships. I moved to Boston after graduation for several months before relocating to California. I've found it difficult to find a girl with the same kind of midwest values and interests that I grew up with. I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously because Lord knows I don't. I am usually pretty reserved, but it is not uncommon to find me on the dance floor, playing several chords on my leg guitar, or doing karaoke before the end of the night (Rick Springfield - Jesse's Girl is my go to, I'm not really that good, but I have stage presence) I like playing and watching sports. Clowning around in bars with my buddies. I'll go to a club like once a year but would much rather hangout in a dive bar where you can have a conversation. I could spend all day in the pool/lake if I had the oppurtunity. My friends girlfriend calls me as a "guys guy". I have no idea what that means, but if it means that I like beer, sports, manual labor and have little or no fashion sense; then sure that's me.
