I moved to Hoboken a little over a year ago to find some peace from working in the big city.
I consider myself pretty down-to-earth. My colleagues would tell you that I have a positive attitude and good energy. That's most likely because I enjoy what I do and work in good company. My friends would tell you that I'm loyal and affectionate. My close relationships are the most important to me so I put my family and friends before everything.
Aside from work, I love spending my time having fun while being active, whether it's locally or planning hikes upstate. I find a lot of peace and enjoyment escaping NYC. I can appreciate the city for all that it offers but for the most part I prefer to be outside of it during my free time. However, I am a huge music junky and love heading to shows in the city. Since I do live in an urban setting I try to find practical outlets like social sports leagues or by escaping to Long Island and upstate NY. In the summer I bike, kayak, and head to the beach and in the winter I try to get to the slopes once or twice. I'm always up for trying new activities and adventures. On that note, I'd love to find a someone who wants to join me in my interests and who is also excited about sharing their own.
Personality traits that are most important to me in a partner are loyalty, honesty and open communication. What I have learned from my experiences are that without these qualities it's nearly impossible to develop a strong foundation to any relationship. I'm looking for a best friend to share my interests and life with. Ideally, this person would have a passion for the outdoors, is family-oriented, tries to get the most out of life and probably doesn't see themselves living in NYC ultimately.
All in all, I'm hoping to find someone who is very genuine and while having their own passions are at a point where they want to really share them and find a true companion to coast through life with. :)
