Despite the endless ridicule of online dating sites, my parents met through a dating service and are still solidly, and happily, married. And so, because I have some concrete proof that this works I am taking a leap of faith.
I am an ambitious and driven person who has goals for my life and the plans to make them a reality. I'm not comfortable wandering along waiting for life to happen or success to fall in my lap. I know the things I want, and I work hard to get them. Education and school are more important to me than I can possibly express in words. Knowledge is a lifelong endeavor and I don't ever plan to stop learning.I have always been a bookworm and it is crucial that I be with someone that parallels that aspect of my life. I am looking for someone who is also on a steady path and actively working to make their goals come true, with an education as the foundation.
Family and friends are a priority in my life. My family is quite small and I am extremely close with them. I am looking for someone who also has a close bond with their family. My circle of friends is also tight-knit but incredibly important to me. Almost my second family, if not already meshed into my first. I am a very loyal person, both to my family and friends and I am looking for someone who would be able to come into the fold smoothly.
I love culture and learning new things. I long to travel but have somehow not found the time or funds yet, but it would be nice if I had someone to travel with and encourage me to make time for a trip or five. Without jumping on a plane, I like to eat different kinds of cuisine and go to festivals or exhibits to satisfy my cultural thirst. I like to have fun and be social but that does not necessarily mean that I want to go clubbing every night. Once in a while is nice, but most of the time I prefer to be a home-body or indulge in more low-key activities.
