Atlanta, GA -- In a dramatic shift in her continuing search for love and companionship, 30-year-old local woman CovertCoaster has joined the dating site Match.
CovertCoaster -- who admits that her username is "a bit silly" and "was probably chosen too hastily" -- moved back to Atlanta this past year. "After six years in DC, it’s good to be back home," says CovertCoaster, who grew up in Marietta and went to grad school overseas before beginning her career in DC at the State Department. "But most of my colleagues and friends here in Atlanta are married with kids. Which is great, but I’d also like to meet someone who isn’t asleep by 8:00 p.m."
CovertCoaster is enthused about her online dating prospects. "According to their profiles, male subscribers are laid back, attractive, witty, and warm -- and they all like going out AND staying in!"
Like every single one of Match's other members, CovertCoaster enjoys music, travel, animals, reading, wine, and assorted caffeinated beverages. Friends say that CovertCoaster also has other exceptional qualities that should prove attractive to a potential date. One colleague asserts that CovertCoaster is indeed "wicked smart," and is "the person you want proofreading your resume or grad school essays." Other friends point to CovertCoaster’s classic appearance, noting that she stays fit through Bikram yoga.
Knowledgeable observers also report that CovertCoaster has an "adventurous spirit" and a "streak of spontaneity." One friend recalled CovertCoaster’s round-the-world vacation a few years ago, taken on only a few days notice.
CovertCoaster states that she is hoping to find "someone who is culturally literate, socially conscious, and generally curious about the world." CovertCoaster also notes that after living in a very progressive city, adjusting to the more conservative elements of Georgia has been a challenge. "If you think Al Jazeera is a terrorist network, then we’re probably not a good match," she remarked.
Other Match members could not be reached for comment on CovertCoaster’s decision to join. But CovertCoaster said that she had a message for potential partners: "I'd love to hear from anyone reading this who thinks we might be a good fit together. Or alternately, anyone who knows why MARTA only runs every 20 minutes. Seriously, what is up with that? It's really bugging me."
