About me and who I am looking for:
To me, life is about family, love, faith, and making a difference in the world. I'm very close to my three children, all of whom are grown, and my five grandchildren, who are growing quickly right before my eyes. I lost my wife of 42 years to cancer. We had a wonderful marriage and, throughout the entirety of my life, I have been fortunate in family and love. It is a wonderful feeling to love and be loved. I would like to feel that way again - no baggage here.
To be candid, I date for basically 2 reasons – to enjoy someone’s company and to find that special person with whom I want to spend the rest of my life. Our core values must be the same, but we can and should be different in ways that complement each other. My companion should be kind, faithful, intelligent, good conversationalist, smiles/laughs a lot, lives a healthy lifestyle and meets people well - sharing similar interests and passions is a plus, but I am also open for doing something new. She also needs to be as passionate about something as I am, so we have something to do and talk about as we grow older. Age is not important to me, except I would like for her to live as long as I do – according to my life insurance profile, I will live 15 - 20 years longer than most women my age.
Going to the lake has been a tradition in my family since I was a kid. I passed it along to my children, and now they bring their children. Over the years I have taught over 100 kids and friends how to ski - lots of fun. I support this tradition as it is a wonderful way to keep the family together and have fun - so my companion will have to enjoy going to the lake - we keep our boats at beautiful Lake Murray near Ardmore OK.
A little about me: I can be a romantic – I love to kiss, bring flowers home for no specific reason, hold hands in public, smile and wink at you from across the room. I like to laugh and have fun. I live by the Golden Rule. I like physical activities and dancing is one of them (though I’m not a fan of loud, smoke-filled nightclubs – private clubs are better). I have continued to work out (not just exercise) since football at Texas Tech. It makes me feel good and it greatly improves my chances for a long meaningful life. I am proud of the fact that I weigh the same and am in almost as good of shape as I was 45 years ago. This allows me to still snow and water ski aggressively, go backpacking/camping in the mountains carrying 50# of gear on my back – to do just about anything physically I want to do.
In my work, I am ambitious and have been an entrepreneur since I was 25. I'm driven by a desire to do something that will benefit mankind. I love what I do and have developed three groundbreaking technologies – see pictures. Some people think I must be very smart, but I believe it has more to do with tenacity and being able to motivate people – as long as I can remember I have been a leader and into sports. And that desire to win taught me to never give up. My business activities have required me to sometimes travel worldwide. I use my SW credit card enough that my companion always travels free. All of which would allow us to travel conveniently.
This is an exciting time for my business, so it keeps me busy and focused, however I try to keep my weekends free as I try to find that special woman. I expect I will always be tied to my work, but would like to find more good people who can really take care of the business and allow me to expand my interest.
If you are interested – or maybe just curious (can he really be an engineer, athletic, successful, considerate, loves to dance, and romantic) - let’s talk on the phone, and if that feels good, meet at a quiet place for more conversation and see where that leads.
