I would describe myself as genuine, easy going and fun loving. I like to think I am always smiling. I am always up for trying something new and making the most out of any situation. Basically the eternal optimist.
I love my job (math teacher/basketball/track coach) and would still do it if I won the lottery. I would travel the world in the summers. I enjoy spending time with friends, playing and watching sports, running, going to movies, and reading. I've been know to bust a move on the dance floor. Check the "Footloose Slide" in my pics (definitely cheesy, possibly fantastic)
I definitely go by the philosophy: work hard, play hard.
I like to enjoy and notice the small things in life.
What I'm looking for is hard to say. I just think I'll know it when I see it. I've always been a romantic, but its harder to maintain that ideal as time goes by. Qualities I know that I like: honest and open, easy to laugh, the ability to laugh at yourself, outgoing and energetic, intelligent and interesting. I feel all this sound very generic. Oh well. It's the truth.
So I feel like everything I wrote about is true, but is lacks personally it so I feel I need to add to it...here we go.
-Username explanation. I'm a geek at heart. I am an AP Calculus teacher with horribly amazing math jokes who likes Battlestar Galactica. But I'm not at all socially awkward, I love to play and watch sports, and I have a lot of Facebook friends...so I guess I'm cool too. And it seems CoolGeekMike was already taken (I want to meet him; he sounds awesome!), hence the 222.
-2 is my favorite number. It's always been that way and I don't have a reason.
-I can say the alphabet backwards in under 5 seconds.
-I love trying new food and traveling, but I can be a homebody at times too.
-I can juggle.
-I'm a life long learner. I try to improve myself everyday.
-I love movie previews and funny commercials. "Wednesdays are weird"
-I have a niece (5) and a nephew (8)... and they rock!!!
-I've had a few very good relationships with some amazing women (before Match), that just didn't fit. I am not picky, but I will not settle.
-I like TV shows that make me think.
-I procrastinate like it's going out of style...you said you wanted honest...and there it is.
-I like to make people smile.
-I am on Match to get off Match.
-I hold doors and walk "street side".
-I call 'em like I see 'em. I'll say the complement that comes to my mind and call you out on your BS.
-I've felt the runners high and it's amazing.
-I think I will be like Phil Dunphy (Modern Family) if I become a dad, and I think that's awesome.
-I like pop culture, trivia, and Jeopardy!
- I am frugal, but not cheap. Buying new things doesn't make me happy. Doing things and creating new experiences does.
- I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. (It's a movie quote.)
- I think the Boston Globe crosswords are fun and doable, but the NY Times crosswords are usually too hard.
- I believe defense wins championships, and drawing a charge is more exciting than a dunk.
