I've been in living in the Los Angeles area for over four years now and I moved to Manhattan Beach in 2011 after being on the Hollywood/Silverlake border for a few years. I wanted a change of pace and I love the ocean/sun/beach volleyball/bike path! But, I am a loyal East Coaster; I lived in Boston for three years prior to LA (I grew up in Connecticut; near NYC) and absolutely love the charisma of Beantown. I love seasons, pond hockey (it's quite fun), walking areas, and good public transportation (the Subway and the T…I miss you both dearly).
I love going to (music) shows and LA has an insane amount of good ones, big and small, all the time. I am passionate about a healthy variety of rock/pop/indie/dancey/funk/soul/singer-writer/post-rock artists (see below) from Phoenix to Sufjan Stevens to Thrice to Radiohead.
I love trying experiencing unique (and maybe new) things - art walks, rock climbing, craft fairs, hikes, games, beer fests, travel to new cities and countries, etc. Likewise, I enjoy planning events, trips, and theme house parties…..and amazingly fun and surprising dates!
I also thrive on sports! I play in an ultimate frisbee league, play pick-up basketball & beach volleyball with friends, and play tennis and golf, as well. And…yes - I watch a good amount of football - for college - go Michigan and for the NFL - go Patriots! In the winter, I love to snowboard as much as possible!
I have worked for a snack company for a few years as a SoCal sales manager, but my past work experience is mainly in event brand marketing and PR. I love building brands and engaging people with a great ideas. I have started a few companies/projects and consider myself a lifelong entrepreneur!
I AM LOOKING FOR: someone who is an extravert, fun, makes me laugh, challenges me to think differently try new things, has a faith or interest in God, likes to volunteer, intelligent, passionate, sexy, professional, pushes my buttons puts me in my place (when need be), gets me excited about cool stuff, likes sports and skiing or snowboarding, likes nature, likes the city and going bars and clubs, likes dancing, likes drinking alcohol (…but not crazy amounts), isn't afraid of dorkiness, is spontaneous, likes meeting my friends, is really nice, and makes quite happy!
I also like overloading people with information (actually…it's kind of a bad habit). Hey, at least you know what I'm about!
