I've recently moved to Santa Monica and started working in Century CIty. I'm always looking for something new to try, somewhere new to go and new places to eat. I've lived in Pasadena for 7 years and I'm just finally realizing how much LA has to offer.
I like to think I'm a gentleman and definitely believe that chivalry isn't dead. But... I'm also pretty sarcastic and quite mischievous, it's what makes life fun and I could definitely stand to be with someone who can keep up with both. I'd say that talking about myself isn't really my strong suit but that's not quite right. I'm happy to talk about myself as much as anyone, "selling myself" is more the issue. As they say, actions are louder than words, and I find it more fulfilling to do something than to say I can/have/will do something.
I hope you'll give me a chance in person before passing judgement on this one, but I am divorced, we started life together too early and we should have noticed sooner that we weren't really right for each other.
I enjoy being an optimist and tend to find the fun and adventure in everything, even if it involves laughing at everyone involved including myself. As a bumper sticker company once said, or maybe it was Oscar Wilde, "Life's too important to be taken seriously", and I completely agree.
So who am I looking for? A partner, a best friend, someone who excites me. Beautiful, but down to earth, smart but confident enough not to need to prove it to everyone (not that I mind being shown up, I have pretty thick skin). Laughter is a must, and I like to think that I make a pretty good friend, just ask my other one.
