I'm always looking to learn something new. My current pursuits include surfing, skateboarding, playing the guitar, and working towards fluency in Spanish.
I love to be active and I love to be outside. I have lived in LA for the past two years and still haven't gotten over how nice the weather is. I think it might be a condition of having grown up mostly in the Pacific Northwest, but when it's not raining or grey, I feel a strong need to be outside taking advantage.
I am a competitive and dedicated person. I like to win - whether it's Trivia Night or something less trivial... I also love to argue (or rather debate) and need to be around people who can contend with me.
I'm currently working to educate the youth of America. I teach high school math in South Central Los Angeles. I became a teacher through Teach for America right after graduating from college. I do not know what the next few years will bring, but for now, I love my students and the daily challenges I face as a teacher.
