I am up for a new adventure in dating, but gosh this is kinda awkward :) (Serendipity usually handles these things for me.)
I try hard to balance my life in terms of mind, body, spirit, and emotions. I would love to meet someone who also has an appreciation for balance. Someone who can handle freedom of expression would be ideal, someone not easily embarrassed if im dancing in my car making kissy faces to miguel or hard faces to 2pac! Although I take my life lessons seriously, I laugh a lot! I'm super silly, easily amused, and I can find the funny in anything.
I am open to all adventures, but that is the key with me... activity. Relaxation, snuggling, and cozy home nights are also a favorite of mine. Festivals, concerts, and shows are fun to explore, especially when you know a night of cooking (maybe play a game of chopped with whats in the fridge), fireplace, and wine is to follow.
I look for passion in the world. Do anything but, just do it with heart! The simple pleasures in life are what I am grateful for, and my people. I am ambitious and have a strong work ethic, but I am not motivated by wealth and riches. Money is awesome cause it creates interesting experiences, but the true currency of life is love, compassion, and intimacy. My friends would say I am hilarious, shrewd, warm, and generous in materials and spirit. Great listener!
So why am I single? Well, I currently am experiencing a "take two" in love. I got married young, divorced and have healed. Yay! What a fascinating journey...In that process, I learned so much about myself and what I want. Most importantly that I loved being married. I am loyal, honest, and faithful. My ex would say I am a great balance of the madonna and the whore, or the perfect "hommie lover friend" (RKelly reference anyone?) I love to be super girlie (not high maintenance or snobby, yuck), and then totally Bro-out! LOL.
My man will probably be interested in family, fun, nature, art, work, and being resourceful.(Let me give you an example of my resourceful family man: I want the guy who will wake up Saturday morning, cook breakfast for the kids, and take them on a bike ride adventure. While I get to take a bath and shave my legs or do something single girls like me take for granted, since I'm with the kids most the week because we don't want to have strangers raise our kids, so we avoid having to wonder later about why our kids are all messed up. When he returns, with kids intact, he informs me of a junkie find of some sort that he is gonna refinish or do something to that I can then use it as an apparatus to fold my laundry on. Meanwhile I have packed up the kids to be dropped off at the grandparent's house, so we can go to (any place) and make out in peace for the weekend). If this doesn't sound anything like you, you need not apply). I am in no rush to get married and have kids, but am excited that some of my best times are ahead of me still.
